We have watched with interest the media coverage over the last week concerning the cruelty involved in the greyhound industry and the steps being taken to rectify the situation, once the truth had been exposed by Commissioner McHugh in his report on the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Greyhound Racing Industry in New South Wales.
Treating any life as a commodity, even a dog’s, is never acceptable and demeans us all. Concern for the welfare of these innocent creatures shows great humanity. Without getting into the rights and wrongs of the greyhound industry, let us show the same concern for the human lives harmed and ended by the abortion industry.
